It is time for the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, one of the largest and most celebrated Renaissance fairs in the United States. The festival offers visitors an enchanting journey back to the 16th century. This annual event, which takes place in Shakopee, Minnesota. Typically, it  runs from late August through early October, drawing crowds eager to experience the magic, history, and revelry of the renaissance era.

This year your renaissance adventure begins on the weekends of August 17th-18th through, September 29th. In addition, they will be open on Labor Day (September 2nd) and Festival Friday on September 27th.  The renaissance festival opens at 9 AM to 7 PM, rain or shine!

First held in 1971, the Minnesota Renaissance Festival has grown from a small gathering to a grand event. Today, it attracts more than 300,000 visitors each year. The festival spans seven weekends.
