The trails at Lebanon Hills are also fantastic for cross country skiing and snowshoeing during the winter months. For shorter hikes, head to the city of Richfield to the Wood Lake Nature Center. With paved or limestone trails and boardwalks, this three-mile jaunt is perfect for families and is wheelchair accessible so that everyone is able to enjoy the beauty of the area.

A couple of our Twin Cities favorites are loops such as Battle Creek Loop and Jensen Lake Trail. Both of these trails are just over 2 miles long and are great for any level of experience. Enjoy waterfront views on Jensen Lake Trail as it loops around the water’s edge in a full circle. Battle Creek Loop is known for being family-friendly as well as dog-friendly so that you can take your four-legged friend along on a leash for an outing everyone can enjoy together. There are many other trails throughout the area as well. Minnehaha Falls, Carver Lake Park Loop Trail, and many more also offer fantastic hikes that will bring you through some of the most stunning areas around the Twin Cities.
