The largest American city built along Lake Superior, it is home to the only all-freshwater aquarium in the United States, the Great Lakes Aquarium, and the world’s longest freshwater baymouth bar, Minnesota Point. It is also an excellent starting point to get your RV trip started and head out along the North Shore.
ITASCA STATE PARK
Recognized for its sweeping area, Itasca State Park features more camping and hiking opportunities than most other combinations of two or even three parks combined. The Canyon Valley Trail spreads out into Red Wing in the western part of the city, while Prairie Island Indian Reservation contains the Treasure Island Resort & Casino. Since 2008, Red Wing has been a part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Fun and nature are aplenty in Red Wing.
