2. RED RIVER STATE RECREATION CAMPGROUND (EAST GRAND FORKS, MN)
This beautiful recreation area features more than 100 campsites – 85 of which are full, electric hookups. The area spans 1200 acres and offers walking trails, also suitable for biking, as well as picnic areas and opportunities for fishing and boating. It’s a beautiful place to visit and not far from many local attractions, shopping, and restaurants.
3. FLYING GOOSE CAMPGROUND (FAIRMONT, MN)
Flying Goose Campground is situated on the stunning Lake Imogene, offering 100 pull-through sites with full hookups. Enjoy a paved roadway with all the beauty nature offers. Let the kids play at the playground or spend a day on the beach!
4. PIPESTONE RV CAMPGROUND (PIPESTONE, MN)
The friendly staff at Pipestone RV hosts family friendly events over the course of the year, such as children’s crafts, bingo, and karaoke. The campground is located near Pipestone National Monument, Pipestone Museum, and other local attractions. This contemporary campground is affordable, fun, and near some incredible attractions!
5. EGG HARBOR CAMPGROUND (EGG HARBOR, WI)
Located in Door County, just a mile north of Egg Harbor, this country campground offers 20, 30, and 50 amp sites. 50 full hookup sites are available, and half of those are pull-through. The campground offers activities for kids, adults, and families and is located near offsite attractions including winery tours, festivals, fishing tournaments, holiday events, and more.
6. DEVIL’S LAKE STATE PARK (BARABOO, WI)
Devil’s Lake State Park offers amazing views and opportunities for anyone interested in nature, geology, and just being outside. It’s the third oldest state park found in Wisconsin, featuring 500-foot quartzite bluffs and a 360-acre lake. Enjoy a beach picnic, nearly 30 miles of hiking trails, or learning about the park’s place on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.
7. SUGAR BOTTOM COE (SOLON, IA)
The Army Corps of Engineers owns and operates this campground, which features clean facilities, nice roads, and beautiful scenery along Coralville Lake. There are a total of 232 single sites and 4 group sites here, making it a lot of fun to meet up with others or just enjoy a quiet weekend with your family.
8. ADVENTURELAND CAMPGROUND (ALTOONA, IA)
Adventureland Campground has more than 300 sites with power available; 83 of these sites have full hookups. Three swimming pools are on-site, as well as two tropical-themed courtyards, a playground for the kids, a pond for fishing, fire pits and grills, and much more.
9. GRAHAM’S ISLAND STATE PARK (DEVIL’S LAKE ND)
This state park is nestled along Devil’s Lake, North Dakota’s largest natural lake. This park is over 1100 acres, offering a campground with campsites – many of which offer hookups. The beautiful scenery includes biking trails and lakeside views. There’s a bait shop on-site, so be ready to go fishing!
10. CUSTER STATE PARK (CUSTER, SD)
Custer State Park is a can’t-miss for RV travels for its scenic sites. Imagine camping in the forest or near a stream. Every year, the Annual Buffalo Roundup draws tourists who watch as cowboys and cowgirls drive herds of more than 1000 buffalo.
